Using the calculators

EquineWeight calculators are provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You may use the results in your own work. You may not copy the site wholesale or present the tools as your own product.

No veterinary advice

Nothing on this site establishes a veterinarian-client-patient relationship. For diagnosis, treatment, medication decisions and individual nutrition plans, consult a licensed veterinarian or an equine nutritionist.

Accuracy and limitations

We aim to implement each formula correctly and to cite credible published sources. We do not warrant that a formula is appropriate for every horse, breed, age or condition. Weight tapes in particular carry documented error ranges, described on the accuracy page.

Medication dosing must follow the product label and your vet’s guidance. Never use a calculator on this site as the sole basis for treating an animal.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EquineWeight accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from use of the site or reliance on any result it produces. You use the tools at your own risk and remain responsible for the welfare of your animals.

Changes and governing terms

Tools may be added, corrected or removed at any time. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of these terms as revised.
